Jac Jemc teaches creative writing at UC San Diego and serves as faculty director of the Clarion Writers' Workshop. She is the author of five books of fiction, most recently Empty Theatre and False Bingo. She is a Guggenheim Fellow and a recent finalist for the California Book Award.
