My forthcoming poetry collection Peacock Lane is a choose your own adventure style tarot game. The characters on the cards are tricksters personified as Dandies working as spiritual guides for the readers. The Dandies I selected for the Major Arcana come from disparate backgrounds & are assembled as a kind of magpie deck layering conflicting origin stories on top of preconceptions brought into the game. Routes chosen by the readers during the Major Arcana set up paths throughout the Minor Arcana to see where other characters on The Fool's Journey ended up. I wanted to write a story that would be challenging to find if you were looking for it, but easy to stumble upon once you stopped searching.
